Subjects Taught

I obtained my B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!)

I obtained my MPH in Public Health from Grand Canyon University

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Public Health with specialization in Epidemiology at Walden University.

I have been teaching middle school science for four years.  My experience includes 7th and 8th grade life science, earth and space science, and physical science.

*I am nationally certified in Project Lead The Way (PLTW), which offers a STEM based curriculum that allows students to explore the roles of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians.  I have teaching experience in Design and Modeling and Automation and Robotics.

*I have researched over six years in agriculture and pharmaceutics, in which I taught and mentored summer interns and graduate students in the laboratory.

I am excited to be a part of the Wildcat Nation.  This is my fourth year teaching middle school science and I absolutely LOVE it!  I enjoy challenging my students to think "outside the box" and being able to make connections from the textbook to real life.  It is so rewarding to watch my students explore and have that "ah-ha" moment!  I invite you all into the classroom to share the experience with your child as we have fun exploring the world of physcial science and robotics.
